Sometimes a tooth cannot be maintained and needs to be removed for many different reasons such as decay or damage, an infection, or to make room during orthodontics. We ensure that the area is completely numb and can also offer sedation to help you stay relaxed during the procedure.
Our last set of molars don’t always have enough room, and sometimes they grow sideways! These wisdom teeth need to be removed to prevent infections, decay that cannot be treated, and to prevent your other teeth from shifting and causing problems in the future. Some cases need an Oral Surgeon to complete but some of these can be done right here. We can provide you with sedation to help you stay relaxed, and we recommend that you take it easy for the rest of the day.
Minimal Oral Sedation
For some longer or more complicated procedures, many patients may feel anxious and want help to stay relaxed. We offer an oral sedation medication, taken in the office 30 minutes to one hour prior to the start of your procedure, to help in these cases. The prescription is provided to you, which you then bring to your appointment. You will need someone to drive you home and stay with you for a few hours afterwards. This can be used alone or in conjunction with Inhaled Sedation.
Minimal Inhaled Sedation
Coming soon! We will soon be able to provide Nitrous Oxide, an inhaled gas mixed with Oxygen, to relax and calm patients. This is done during your appointment time with no need to arrive early, and you are safely able to return home alone afterwards. Safe for all ages and extremely comfortable, perfect for shorter appointments. This can be used alone or in conjunction with Oral Sedation.
IV Moderate Sedation
Coming soon to our office! We will soon be able to provide a deeper level of sedation, using intravenous, to put our patients in a sleepier, more relaxed state. Each patient is monitored, with all vital signs and medications documented, from the beginning of the appointment right through to the dismissal. Patients will need to arrive ahead of time and arrange for a ride home as well as someone to stay with you for several hours post treatment.
Dental Implants are an alternative to traditional bridges and dentures for tooth replacement. They are made up of a titanium “root” that is placed directly into your jawbone and left to heal. Once it is sturdy, your tooth replacement is created and attached. This can be a single crown, part of a bridge or even a denture! Dental implants help to maintain your jaw bones, never have to be taken out and are easy to clean.
